  • Hook size 2 mm and 2.5 mm

  • Scissors and needle

MATERIALS:

  • 8/4 cotton yarn (weight/length: 50 g = approx 160 m)

  • Glue and cardboard

  • 6 mm Safety eyes

BOTTOM

Hook 2.50 mm. All rounds starts by chaining two and are joined with a slip stitch.

1. round: Start with 12 dc in magic ring (12)

2. round: *1 dc inc* x 12 (24)

3. round: *1 hdc, 1 inc* x 12 (36)

4. round: Crab stitch all the way around the edge.

​

Cut the yarn and fasten off.

 

TOP

Hook 2.50 mm

​

1. round: Start with 6 sc in magic ring (6)

2. round: *1 inc* x 12 (12)

3. round: *1 sc, 1 inc* x 12 (18)

4. round: *2 sc, 1 inc* x 12 (24)

5. round: *3 sc, 1 inc* x 12 (30)

6. round: *4 sc, 1 inc* x 12 (36)

7.-19. round: 1 sc in each stitch (36) - Stop after round 16 for the chicken.

 

Cut the yarn and fasten off.

 

CHICKEN WINGS

Hook 2.50 mm

1. round: Start with 6 sc in magic ring (6)

2. round: *1 inc* x 6 (12)

​

Fold the circle and crochet along the edge through both loops on both sides with 6 sc. Chain 1 and crochet *1 ss, 3 sc in the same loop* x 3. Your last stitch is the tip of the wing. Cut the yarn and leave a long string. Make two.

 

HEN WINGS

Hook 2.50 mm

​

1. round: Start with 6 sc in magic ring (6)

2. round: *1 inc* x 6 (12)

3. round: *1 sc, 1 inc* x 6 (18)

​

Fold the circle and crochet along the edge through both loops on both sides with 8 sc. Chain 1 and crochet *1 ss, 3 sc in the same loop* x 4. Your last stitch is the tip of the wing. Cut the yarn and leave a long string. Make two.

 

BEAK

Hook 2.50 mm

1. round: Start with 4 sc in magic ring (4)

2. round: *1 sc, 1 inc* x 2 (6)

3. round: *2 sc, 1 inc* x 2 (8)

Fold it and crochet through both loops on both sides with 4 sc. Cut the yarn and leave a long string for assembling.

 

WATTLE

Hook 2.00 mm

​

1. round: Start with a magic ring. *Chain 2, 1 hdc, chain 2 and make a ss in the ring* x 2.

Pull the ring tight, cut the yarn and fasten off one end and leave the other long.

 

COMB

Hook 2.00 mm

​

Start with a chain 6 - *chain 2, 1 hdc, chain 2, ss in the next stitch* x 3. Cut the yarn, fasten off one end and leave the other long for assembling.

 

LEGS

Hook 2.50 mm

Chain 20 - start in the second loop from the hook: make 1 ss in the next three stitches. *Chain 4 - start in the second loop from the hook: make 1 ss in the next three stitches. fasten with a ss in the starting point*. Repeat the sequence between the stars one more time, and crochet all the way back the legs with slip stitches. Cut the yarn and leave string for assembling. Make two.

 

ASSEMBLING

Cut a cardboard disc in a diameter that fits with the bottom piece from the middle and out to the 3. round. Glue it on the wrong side of the bottom.

 

Now fill the top with stuffing, and sew the top to the bottom. Sew between the last round of hdc and crab stitches, and with the cardboard piece "inside" the chicken/hen.

 

Sew on:

  • The beak between round 9 and 10

  • The wings between round 10 and 11 with 6 stitches between it and the beak

  • The wattle just under the beak

  • The comb on top of the head

  • If you wish you can add legs and eyes

Slå 6 lm op - *2 lm, 1 hstgm, 2 lm og en km i næste maske* x 3 Klip garnet. Hæft den ene ende og efterlad lang snor til montering.

 

BEN

Nål 2.50 mm

​

Slå 20 lm op - start i 2. maske fra nålen: Lav 1 km i de næse 3 masker. *Lav 4 lm - start i 2.maske fra nålen: Lav 1 km i de næste 3 masker, fastgør med en km i udgangspunktet*.

 

Gentag sekvensen endnu en gang, så der er 3 "tæer". Hækl hele vejen tilbage med 1 km i hver maske. Klip garnet og efterlad lang snor til montering. Lav 2.

MONTERING

Klip en pap-disc der har samme diameter som bunden fra midten og ud til 3. omgang. Lim den til vrangsiden af bunden. Fyld toppen og så den sammen med bunden. Sy dem sammen mellem den sidste omgang af hstgm og krabbemasker, så pappet forbliver inde i kyllingen/hønen.

 

Fastgør:

  • Næbbet mellem omgang 9 og 10

  • Vingerne mellem omgang 10 og 11 med 6 masker mellem dem og næbbet

  • Hagelap lige under næbbet

  • Kammen ovenpå hovedet

  • Hvis du ønsker: Benene og øjnene
