LEAF

Yarn: Green

Chain 10 and start in the second loop from the hook.

Crochet: 1 ss, 1 ss, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 2 dc in the same stitch, 2 dc in the same stitch, 1 hdc, 3 hdc in the same stitch.

 

Continue on the other side of the chain. You now have 8 loops to crochet the following: 1 hcd, 2 dc in the same stitch, 2 dc in the same stitch, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, 1 ss, 1 ss.

 

Cut the yarn and leave a long tail. Sew the yarn down through the leaf. You can pull a little to adjust the appearance of the leaf.

1. round: Start with 6 sc in magic ring (6)

2. round: *1 inc* x 6 (12)

3. round: *1 sc, 1 inc* x 6 (18)

4. round: *2 sc, 1 inc* x 6 (24)

5. round: *3 sc, 1 inc* x 6 (30)

6. round: 1 sc in each stitch (30)

7. round: *4 sc, 1 inc* x 6 (36)

8.-15. round: 1 sc in each stitch (36) - 8 rounds

16. round: *4 sc, 1 dec* (30)

17. round: 1 sc in each stitch (30)

18. round: *3 sc, 1 dec* (24) - start filling

19. round: *2 sc, 1 dec* (18)

20. round: *1 sc, 1 dec* (12)

21. round: *1 dec* x 6 (6)

 

Sew the bottom together so that it closes - cut the yarn and leave a long string for assembling.

 

ASSEMBLING

You need to sew through both leaf and stem - and then down through your entire plum. Tighten so that the yarn makes a "indenture" in the plum - and your stem and leaf are pulled into place. Do the same again so that it is sewn completely in place.
